Bangs and Bruises -- Ouch!

bruiseNo remedy surpasses Arnica for injuries by blunt objects. In other words, injuries by pointed objects usually require Ledum. Abrasions should be treated with Calendula topically, and Arnica orally. Head injuries can often benefit from Natrum Sulph.  given after Arnica. Head injuries are usually encounters with blunt objects. See a Homeopath for a head injury or any injury that doesn't clear up in short order.

Overwhelmed -- Frustrated

OverwhelmedSome people like to have large lists of things to accomplish and then to scratch off each item as it is taken care of. Frustration ensues when the list does not get accomplished. There is no quick fix for this one. See a trained Homeopath. This has been treated, literally, tens of thousands of times around the world, without the use of pharmaceuticals side effects.

Chronic Fatigue

Chronic FatigueThis is a consequence of a quite a lot of suppression for quite sometime. I've treated hundreds of cases of this. It can take from 6 months to 2 years to treat. People look for silver bullets and panaceas to treat Chronic Fatigue but there is no short cut. The suppressions that have occurred over years of living must all be reversed or unsupressed. Be patient with your homeopath and you will have success and feel like your old self again.

Autism

AutismThere are several Homeopathic books dealing with children who have Autism. Seasoned, well trained Homeopathic practitioners must take these cases. It is my belief, that without Homeopathy these cases are never fully resolved. Combine Homeopathy with good diet and nutritional support, use acupuncture, chiropractic, body workers and psychologists. It takes a team to treat this but don't leave out the Homeopath!

Nutrition - Our Proven Approach

NutritionOour approach to nutrition using clinically proven whole food concentrates and extracts since 1929 by Standard Process; and the wisdom or Lee, Pottinger, Price, Page, Harrower, Kelly, Atkins and others.

Whole Food Complexes instead of Isolated Vitamin/Mineral parts?

With the advent of laboratory science, it has become customary to extract "active ingredients" from the plants and foods which are known to have healing qualities.

Our EarthBut perhaps we should leave the entire plant alone and allow the known active ingredients to exist, and be ingested by us, with the other nutrients that they occur with naturally. These other nutrients are called synergists and the evidence is overwhelming in favor of honoring their natural co-existence with the known active ingredients. Store bought vitamins and minerals differ from whole food supplements. "Whole food supplements" means just that, supplements in pill form containing the "whole food"; and, of course, they are organically farm-grown.

Regular vitamin and mineral supplements represent only "part" of the plant from which they are extracted. Most are actually "synthetic," i.e., factory-made from food fractions and none of them come with their synergists. Ascorbic acid, for example, can be extracted from a plant source or produced synthetically and marketed as vitamin C.

Most foods which are high in vitamin C, however, include many other plant chemicals (now called "phytochemicals") including the bioflavonoids and phytonutrients, and many which we can not yet identify; but whose presence are necessary for the body's assimilation and use of the complete "C" vitamin. If they have not been identified there is no way to extract them. If they are not extracted they will not be in the vitamin/mineral tablet! The synergists get thrown away by the manufacturer and your body never benefits from the substances that we don't yet realize we need. What a shame that everyone is buying vitamins and minerals, enzymes and amino acids without synergists!

Standard ProcessGiven the average diet, when you supplement with "whole food" products you are consuming nutrients you may have never consumed before! We must ask ourselves, why did a group receiving lemon juice containing 25 mg of vitamin C improve faster than another group receiving 25 mg of vitamin C only? What the FDA calls vitamin C is really ascorbic acid. Vitamin C is much more complex. Ascorbic acid is the "preservative" portion of the entire complex. It should rarely be taken alone or in high quantity.

Regular vitamin/mineral megadose therapy can often complicate a patient's symptomatology. In many cases such treatment can result in systemic toxicity, suppression of the immune system and degradation of the patient's condition.

Common Sense Eating versus a Processed Food Diet

We can look to our ancestors to know what we should eat. Nutritional supplementation per se will not substitute for a poor diet.

NourishmentSally Fallon's book, NOURISHING TRADITIONS, explains how fermenting grains removes phytates from breads and cereals; how sprouting grains destroys enzyme inhibitors and releases nutrients and how the eating of unadulterated meat (with naturally occurring beneficial fats) and use of whole butter and other dairy products leads to longevity. Surprising? Not really.

Nutritionists Lee, Price, Pottinger, Kelly and even Atkins have advocated such practices as long as carbohydrates and the insulin they produce are kept to a minimum. This approach has existed for centuries and has been promoted since the 1920's by the above nutritionists. One should avoid all refined foods such as sugar, sodas, salt, alcohol and flavored drinks. Most snack foods, including chips, cookies, candies, etc., are loaded with the wrong fats and sugar.

Fat AcidsWhen eating a low carbohydrate diet, quantity of food consumed is no longer an issue. Our digestive system is built for this kind of eating, with one stomach and relatively short intestines, facilitating the rapid digestion of animal protein and fats and reducing our ability to easily digest grains. Dr. Atkins has 20,000 documented case histories attesting to the benefits of eating as our ancestors did. His and Sally Fallon's book give information showing us how the food "processing industry" offers university grants to obtain studies that support eating "processed foods" which the media then innocently reports to us. This way it appears that not even the "experts" know what is right, and this way the "industry" continues to profit. But many do know exactly what to do and have known for many decades -- we are here to share this with you.

While some patients, especially those with acute conditions, experience remarkable turnarounds with clinical nutrition, most require weeks or even months for the restoration of normal body functions.

Patients have been conditioned by conventional medicine to expect and realize immediate symptomatic relief with drug therapy. Drugs, however, suppress symptoms, pushing them deeper into the being where they remain. Drugs produce a short-term pharmacological effect, while whole complex nutrients rebuild tissue and produce a long-term nutritional effect.

Obviously, if it took many years to develop the symptoms, it may take many months to resolve them through nutritional medicine.

Reversal of Symptoms vs. Repression of Symptoms

Pure WaterWhen a person's case progresses well, they retrace their past illnesses in the reverse order in which they occurred. While a worsening of symptoms can be expected temporarily in most cases, the good news is that it is an indication of getting better and of overcoming carbohydrate addiction. It is important for the patient to realize that such temporary worsening of symptoms can be controlled by reducing the dosage, modifying the protocol, drinking adequate amounts of pure water, getting lots of rest, avoiding refined foods, thinking good things and perhaps concentrating on spiritual issues.
